Luxembourg’s open economy is complemented by the ease with which its nationals can move across borders – an advantage that reinforces the country’s global connectivity. According to the 2025 Henley Passport Index, Luxembourg nationals can travel visa-free to 188 different nations.

Singapore tops the index, offering visa-free access to 193 destinations. Japan and South Korea follow in joint 2nd place (190 countries), while Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain share 3rd place (189 countries). Luxembourg shares its 4th place ranking with the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.

The Henley Passport Index draws on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), widely regarded as the most comprehensive and reliable source of travel information.
