The International Property Rights Index (IPRI) is the flagship publication of Property Rights Alliance. The IPRI scores the underlining institutions of a strong property rights regime: the legal and political environment, physical property rights, and intellectual property rights. It is the world’s only index entirely dedicated to the measurement of intellectual and physical property rights. Covering 125 countries the 2018 IPRI reports on the property rights systems affecting 98 percent of world Gross Domestic Product and 93 percent of world population

Luxemburg’s IPRI scores 8.297 placing it 6th in the Western Europe region and 9th in the world. Luxemburg is classified by the IMF as part of the Advanced economies group and by the World Bank as High income country.

Luxemburg’s Legal and Political Subindex scores of 8.640 in Judicial Independence, 8.429 in Rule of Law, 7.935 in Political Stability, and 9.152 in Control of Corruption.

Luxemburg’s Physical Property Rights Subindex scores of 8.855 in perception of Property Rights Protection, 9.102 in Registering Property, and 6.629 in Ease of Access to Loans.

Luxemburg’s Intellectual Property Rights Subindex scores of 8.858 in perception of Intellectual Property Protection, 7.516 in Patent Protection, and 8.1 in Copyright Protection.
