In 2021, 70% of EU households enjoyed high-speed internet coverage – a quite radical change from 2013, when the corresponding figure was only 13%. Recent statistics from EUROSTAT provides an overview of how different EU countries are faring.

Top countries for high-speed internet coverage

Reaching 100% of national households, Malta has the best high-speed internet in the European Union. Luxembourg is in second place with a coverage of 96%, followed by Denmark (95%) and Spain (94%).
