The old quarters and fortifications of Luxembourg City have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1994. As well as providing an interesting insight into Luxembourg’s origins and past as a military stronghold, the old town also offers spectacular views of the city’s modern skyline and the green and picturesque valley that cuts the city centre in half.

The World Heritage area can be discovered by a leisurely walk, a guided tour or by bicycle. But what about those running shoes? Read about Sightrunning – 25 years UNESCO World Heritage Site and join the FatBetty.Run group that brings together old and new residents as well as tourists for a run through the  most beautiful parts of the city every week.
