Global transport and logistics company Kuehne+Nagel has had a strong presence in Luxembourg for decades. The company is considerably expanding its contract logistics footprint with the opening of its latest fulfilment centre in Contern, Luxembourg, comprising 34,000m² of warehousing space.

Kuehne+Nagel has been growing its multi-modal logistics solutions in Luxembourg continually and now further strengthens its function as a strategic contract logistics hub in Europe.

“Following a promising start 51 years ago, Kuehne+Nagel has been growing its multi-modal logistics solutions in Luxembourg continually and now further strengthens its function as a strategic contract logistics hub in Europe,” said the company’s Honorary Chairman Klaus-Michael Kühne. “This also underlines our confidence in the business location and the fruitful collaboration with the government of Luxembourg and the local authorities of Contern.”

A strategic location for an e-commerce fulfilment centre

Kuehne+Nagel Luxembourg employs over 700 people and has 100,000m² of warehousing space. The opening of the new e-commerce fulfilment centre reaffirms Luxembourg as a strategic location in the centre of Europe. Kuehne+Nagel uses its Luxembourg base to meet complex and dynamic supply chain needs of its customers through integrated value-added solutions, especially in the area of e-commerce fulfilment. This includes inventory management, picking, packing and shipping orders, managing returns, as well as value-added services.

The new fulfilment centre perfectly complements our existing e-commerce hub in Belgium.

“The new fulfilment centre perfectly complements our existing e-commerce hub in Belgium, securing fast end-to-end lead time,” said Tobias Jerschke, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel BeLux.

Kuehne+Nagel Luxembourg also has a historically strong presence in Road Logistics, Sea Logistics and Air Logistics (with an office at Luxembourg’s Findel airport) as well as an Integrated Logistics team managing regional and global contracts for 4PL customers with a focus on consumer electronics, industrial goods and pharma.
