At the Healthcare Week Luxembourg 2023, organised from 20 to 23 September, the Luxembourg Hospital Federation (FHL), its partners and the European Association of Hospital Managers (EAHM) will award the most promising start-ups and projects in the field of innovation.

Organised by FHL, the Healthcare Week Luxembourg Awards 2023 are part of the Healthcare Week Luxembourg programme. This event, which will be held at Luxexpo The Box from 20 to 22 September 2023, aims to develop cooperation between players in the Greater Region’s healthcare sector.

Three categories

Three awards in three different categories will be handed out at a gala evening on 21 September:

  • The start-up of the year, awarded by the FHL, the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy and Luxinnovation, for a particularly ambitious and promising venture that contributes to the improvement of the health sector;
  • The medical project of the year, carried out in direct or indirect collaboration with a hospital, that provides a relevant solution for the healthcare sector, awarded by the FHL and the Society of Medical Sciences of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg;
  • The best innovative project in the field of hospital management in Europe and neighbouring countries, awarded by the European Association of Hospital Managers (EAHM-AEDH-EVKM).

In each category, three finalists will be selected by a jury composed of healthcare professionals. The finalists will then be invited to make a live pitch in front of the audience on 20 and 21 September.

Only one candidate per category will be awarded a prize at the end of the presentations.

Anyone wishing to enter the Healthcare Week Luxembourg Awards 2023 has until 11 August 2023 to send a completed submission by e-mail by filling out the application form available on the HWL, FHL and AEDH-EAHM-EVKM websites for the category of their choice.

The results of the pre-selection process will be announced by the end of August 2023 at the latest.

“Innovation in the healthcare sector is essential, both for caregivers and patients,” explains Régis Ciré, Head of International Business Development – Heathtech at Luxinnovation, and member of the jury. “This is why as the national innovation agency, we’re delighted to be able to keep a close eye on all these developments. And it gives us great pleasure to see such a European event being organised in Luxembourg. It will enrich interactions between hospitals, innovative companies and caregivers from all walks of life, to the benefit of all.”
