Home News Luxembourg partners with Dutch Automotive Campus Luxembourg partners with Dutch Automotive CampusAs a regional economic hotspot with a fast-growing population, over 200,000 cross-border workers and concentrated logistics hub activities, Luxembourg has the development of innovative mobility solutions high on its agenda. Luxembourg’s latest move to support smart mobility innovation is a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Automobility Incubator of Technoport, Luxembourg’s leading technology incubator, and the Automotive Campus in the Netherlands. The main objective is to establish a pragmatic collaboration framework that eliminates geographical barriers for promising startups.

Creating an international mobility testbed

The Automotive Campus in Helmond, located in the Netherlands’s so-called Brainport area, is a national and international epicentre for smart, safe and sustainable mobility and energy solutions. It offers its community of resident companies access to state-of-the-art testing facilities as well as to innovation and collaboration opportunities.

The partnership creates a “transnational testing corridor”, giving startups in both countries access to shared infrastructure and expertise. The two partners will share living labs and testbeds for physical prototyping and validation, establish data hubs, facilitate structured knowledge exchange and initiate joint knowledge development and participation in future R&D projects.

ERP Mobility, a Technoport-hosted startup specialising in advanced powertrain technology, has already benefited from this emerging partnership. The company has successfully leveraged the world-class TNO laboratories situated within the Dutch Automotive Campus for crucial testing of their technology.

Facilitating international growth

This partnership marks a major milestone in Technoport’s mission to facilitate the international growth of Luxembourg-based innovations and confirms the Automobility Incubator’s commitment to providing tangible resources that lead directly to market success for its portfolio companies.
